National Highway
A good design is only good for the users when choice of materials is made consciously by the designer. In a highway bus shelter it is very important to use materials which can withstand the wind flow and are long-lasting. Such materials should be maintenance free, cost effective as well as eco-friendly. We are using metal framing for the outer shell of bus shelter cladded with ACP sheet. Options for extrusion cladding material are ACP sheet, WPC sheet or Shera board, as per the budget. Entire Roof is covered with Solar panels which generates enough energy to make the Structure Self-Sustainable.
The proposed Bus Shelter form is influenced by a Ship– its conical, angular shape cuts the water flow and reigns forward. Similarly, the triangular forms used in the design, cuts the heat wave on highways allowing only the cool air to enter inside bus terminal protecting it from dust, pollution, and high wind pressure. The Design focusing on high-wind pressure, thus, uses materials which are sustainable, have long life span, are recyclable and easy to maintain. This can be installed when needed to be replicated on all the national highways.
